With its awe-inspiring size, kid-activated control
panel, and projectile-firing space shuttle, the
Supernova Battle Rover is the perfect vehicle
for engaging aliens, humans and young
imaginations in inter-galactic battles that will
last for hours or even days! It’s equipped
with a light-up chamber that scans and
detects aliens, a pull-out drill and saw blade
for attacking, a crane to capture aliens,
a small vehicle with space troopers to scour
the area, two projectile launchers, and a
huge storage area for humans and captured
aliens. Its 19 lights and more than 200
unique phrases and realistic sound effects,
including engine sounds, scanners, alarms,
guns, and much more, add to the space-
age pretend play. When other Imaginext
spaceships (sold separately) fire at the
Rover, it responds with special sounds
and phrases! The Supernova Battle Rover
also serves as the launching pad for a
removable space shuttle that has its own
projectile launchers, lights, phrases and
SFX – and can interact with the Rover!
The kid-activated control panel puts them in
command of the Supernova Battle Rover’s
movements, lights, sounds and phrases. If
they spot hostile aliens, they can fire the
Rover’s two projectile launchers. They can
also turn a disk to raise up the space shuttle
and pull a trigger to fire projectiles from its
two launchers. All the while, your little space
explorer will be giving his fine motor skills
a cosmic workout and discovering how his
actions make out-of-this-world things happen!
The super-sized Supernova Battle Rover will be the driving force behind all kinds of human vs.
alien stories and scenarios. To add to your little one’s play experience, the Rover has multiple
ways to attach to or involve other Imaginext toys in the adventures! (Sold separately and
subject to availability.) It’s all part of helping kids realize how powerful their imaginations
can be in creating new and exciting adventures every time they play. And by adding speech,
sound, lights and movement, their power to imagine grows even more!

I was surprised when the Fisher-Price Supernova Battle Rover arrived. I expected a small toy
that could be pushed around the house. It is not small; it is the size of a ride on toy for a 2 to
3 year old. If you have a small play space this is not the toy for you. However if you have
plenty of room this offers endless possibilities for creative play. The unit is very well built.
It does require batteries (7AA) for all the elements to function. I like the fact that you can
only get to the two battery compartments using a Phillips screwdriver leaving both
compartments very secure.
There are several small pieces with the unit so watch very young children when they are around it.
One thing I did not like was the missile launch functions. It comes with several missiles and a
warning not to shoot at anyone’s eyes. Come on! Do you really think that will be a priority when
the playtime is going hot and heavy. I would remove the missiles and only allow pretend ones
to be fired.
It is an expensive toy at $129 but the play possibilities make that a reasonable price. There are
voice commands, lights that flash, special sounds, a space shuttle, tools and weapons and a
whole lot more. You can order other related items to get more out of the unit but it does really
well on its own.

This toy is absolutely loaded with gadgets and features to entertain for hours. Gladly, there isn'
t any assembly required. I can't imagine trying to assemble this product, but it's ready to go
right out of the box.
I gave it to my nephew and he was glued to it for the day until he tired himself out.

We just got this for our son, he's 4. Toys with "depth" are rare these days. Compare the
"Little People" garage of today to the ones we had in the 70's for a good example. That
said, this Battle Rover is a throwback to the good ol days. Every square inch is packed
with detail / nuances that will give kids almost unlimited ways to play.
