Best single player campaign experience in any Skylanders game. From the beginning of the game
to the very end, it was the best gameplay I've ever seen from all 4 console games. However, the
end of game experience is the most sparse of all the Skylanders games.
The Gameplay:
-------------------------------------
I love the dynamic of switching out from an ally (trapped villain) to my regular Skylander. There's
so much you can do and so many more ways to play the game. I play alone and don't have a
co-op partner to play with so, from the first three games, I had no support. But this time around
I do. I particularly love Brocolli Guy for his healing powers. And the co-op experience is there
with regular story play, but is most featured with the Kaos Doom Challenges. One guy can be
in charge of one part of the field, the other player can be in charge of another. So there are
teamwork opportunities to be had.
I personally am okay with the pay to play model. There are many games that are free. PC:
League of Legends, DOTA2. Mobile: Angry Birds, TimeManagementgames like: Farmville,
Dragons, Puzzles. If you love these games so much, you are okay with shelling out money
to get the full game experience. It's a fair deal. The player gets to play for free and if they
like it, they get to shell out money according to their budget. But Trap Team gives you a
very limited game experience and expects you to pay $75 dollars for that limited experience.
Then they want you to pay $15 for more characters. And $6 for traps.
I love the new characters and traps and I would willingly pay for them, but I wish the Starter
Pack was more fairly priced on release day.
The Aesthetics

The game is beautiful. Read more ›
